As you study the October Liahona or Ensign about temples, ask yourself, “How has living worthy of and carrying a temple recommend increased my faith and personal righteousness?” Share your experiences with us atreliefsociety@ldschurch.org.

President Howard W. Hunter said, “I would hope that every adult member would be worthy of—and carry—a current temple recommend, even if proximity to a temple does not allow immediate or frequent use of it” (“The Great Symbol of Our Membership,” Ensign, Oct. 1994, 5).

If you are making a purse the following items will be needed:

Crochet Purse: 12.75 mm hook, two spools crochet thread size 3, material for lining, and a button.

Flower Purse: size H hook and one skein yarn.

Jewelry Bag: size H hook and one skein yarn.

As you study the August Visiting Teaching Message, ask yourself, “What can I do to prepare myself to claim the blessings of the temple?” Then share with us at reliefsociety@ldschurch.org your experiences of how you are preparing.

Sister Silvia Allred said, “Through His prophets, the Lord invites those who have not yet received the blessings of the temple to do whatever may be necessary to qualify to receive them.
